To help achieve its goal of promoting joint action by housing industry players, the SHQ chairs the Regroupement technologique en habitation du Québec, a discussion table on technical subjects relating to residential renovation and construction composed of roughly 50 members who represent public and private housing sector organizations.
One of the SHQ’s ongoing aims is to ensure the application of good housing practices, and it encourages its residential construction and renovation partners to do the same.
In the new global market, the SHQ finances projects that help factory-built housing and component producers to enter new markets, both at home and abroad.
The SHQ has helped finance steps to obtain export certifications from the 27 European Union countries for factory-built housing and components from Québec.
This video illustrates Québec’s expertise in the field of wood-framed factory-built housing, from design to delivery.
